Information technology

Managed by a specialist in management IT, who is assisted by two people, the IT division covers the internal management of IT maintenance of the whole group. The three IT specialists based in Orléans are supported by local correspondents from the eight Orcom sites. These ten people maintain and manage the IT structure, which consists of 260 micro computers (the majority of which are portable) and 25 data servers, as well as the network, the telephony system and the security of all confidential data given to us by our clients. This is a prime role in public accountancy and auditing. The IT division gained a new maintenance management tool in autumn 2005: the permanent maintenance plan (PMP). This internally developed web application enables continuous network monitoring. Although it fulfils other functions, the PMP was also developed to prevent and reduce intervention times.
New information and communication technology (NICT) is omnipresent in the daily work of employees and clients of Orcom, which manage all information through accessible internet tools: TéléTVA, TDFC, DUCS-EDI, Scanbank, etc.
