All Orcom group employees have access to internal training, whatever their position. The purpose of the annual appraisals is to review the employee’s role and career development. These appraisals are given to all employees by a board member and/or an associate, a service manager or a line manager.
During this annual appraisal, employees can express a wish for a particular training course. In 2005, 91% of Orcom employees attended at least one traiing course. Each employee had an average of 2.73 days of training in numerous areas from reception, accounting and specialist training, auditing, management consulting, site management, legal assistance, financial law to IT and organisation.
Each year, employees are given an internal training catalogue, which is divided into seven chapters showing around 50 training courses covering many themes including the following:
• Accounting and specialist tasks
• Management and conduct
• IT and organisation
• Public accountants and trainees
• Management consultancy
• Legal and fiscal assistance
• Auditing tasks
Orcom has been delegated by the association of public accountants to provide technical training for trainee public accountants.
